Privacy policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This policy explains how personal information is handled on the BuzzTap website, in client accounts and on the mini-sites we host.

Who to contact

Frederick Grenier, President
Person responsible for personal information protection — BuzzTap
info@buzztap.ca

Email us with privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion requests or complaints about your information.

Information involved and why we use it

  • Account and business: name, email, sign-in identifier, business name and any phone number you provide, to open and secure your account and communicate with you.
  • Creation: brief, business contact details, logos, photos, files, links, mockups, feedback and approvals, to design and update your BuzzTap.
  • Management: requests, pricing terms, discounts, complimentary access, payment statuses and change history, to manage your service and handle requests.
  • Operation: hosting and sign-in services may process technical data such as IP address, browser and security logs to deliver and protect the site.

Information comes from you, your company administrator or the features you use. Do not submit sensitive information that is not needed for your project.

What becomes public

A published page is accessible through its link and QR. Text, photos and contact details approved for that page may be viewed, shared, copied or indexed by search engines. Include only information intended to be public and that you have the right to publish. Your account’s brief, exchanges and working files are not intended to be public.

Service providers and access

Your company administrator and authorized people at BuzzTap access information relevant to their role. The current version uses PlanetHoster for hosting and storage. Your BuzzTap account uses your email, password and a secure session to sign in. Account recovery emails are sent through PlanetHoster’s hosting mail service. BuzzTap may use ChatGPT to prepare designs using the materials needed for your project.

If Stripe payments or other transactional emails through Brevo are enabled, necessary information may be sent to the relevant provider. BuzzTap does not ask you to email a payment-card number. Providers may process information outside Quebec or Canada; applicable requirements for those transfers must be respected.

External links and cookies

Links to Facebook, Messenger, Google, booking or ordering open separate services. Their own policies apply to information you provide to them. Adding Facebook and Messenger links does not embed a chat widget or advertising pixel.

Sign-in and security may use cookies or similar technologies. BuzzTap has not added optional advertising or analytics tools in this version. The local preview, when used, stores its demonstration data in the browser.

Retention and security

Information is retained according to service needs, request handling and applicable obligations. Deactivation hides a page; it does not automatically erase records, files or backups, or cancel a subscription. Contact us to request account closure or deletion of information. We will explain what can be deleted and what must be retained.

Sign-in and access controls protect private accounts and files. No transmission or storage method offers absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to your information, correction and, where provided by law, a portable copy. You may withdraw applicable consent or request deletion, subject to retention obligations. Some requests may limit our ability to provide the service. We may verify your identity to protect your information.

For data collected directly by a business through its own tools linked from a mini-site, also contact that business. You can complain to Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information. Visit the Commission

Updates

This page will be updated if our features or practices change. The date above identifies the displayed version. A change requiring your consent will be presented according to applicable requirements.
